Macquarie Authenticator when you’re travelling 

No matter where you are in the world, Macquarie Authenticator is always with you because it’s connected to your device and provides you with notifications in real-time.

If you’re not connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network, the app gives you the option to use a code for verification.  Only use these codes for approving your request. Don’t share your code with anyone including Macquarie consultants over the phone, by text or by email.

Before you go overseas 

Make sure you’ve downloaded and set up Macquarie Authenticator and enabled push notifications in the app before you go overseas.

You won’t be able to set up Macquarie Authenticator if you’re using a different sim card overseas.

Using a different device overseas

Macquarie Authenticator may not work on your phone device if it’s still registered on another device. For more information visit Manage devices using Macquarie Authenticator.

Unable to receive push notifications

When you’re overseas, and you don’t have access to wifi or mobile data, you won’t be able to receive push notifications to approve or deny transactions and account changes. For certain requests, you may be able to use Codes for Macquarie Authenticator to approve.

Lost or stolen phone 

If your Macquarie Authenticator app is completely unavailable (lost your phone?), for security reasons, give us a call on  02 8550 5666 (+61 2 8550 5666), 24/7.
