Have you changed devices?

If you’ve previously registered Macquarie Authenticator on another device, you’ll need to verify your new device registration via a push notification on your previously registered device.

Once you’ve verified your new device, please remember to deactivate your previous device if you’re no longer using it. Please refer to instructions under Stop using Macquarie Authenticator below.

Don’t have access to your old device?

For your security, we register all your devices that have installed the Macquarie Authenticator app. If you no longer have your old device i.e. lost your phone, you’ll need to call us on 133 174 (+61 2 8245 4470), 24/7. We’ll de-register your old device so you can set up Macquarie Authenticator on your new device.

Stop using Macquarie Authenticator

If you no longer want to use Macquarie Authenticator on your device, you need to remove your Macquarie ID from the Macquarie Authenticator app to keep your account secure.

This will stop notifications from being sent to this device. You will also no longer be able to verify actions from this device.

To remove your Macquarie ID in the Macquarie Authenticator app:

  1. Login to the Macquarie Authenticator app
  2. Select the Menu option at the bottom right of the screen
  3. Select the three-dot icon on the Macquarie ID tile
  4. Select Deregister Macquarie ID
  5. Your Macquarie ID will be delinked from the Authenticator app.

To remove your Macquarie ID in Macquarie Online Banking:

  1. Hover over the Settings icon on the side menu then click on Security Settings
  2. Scroll down to Connected Devices
  3. Click Manage
  4. Find the device you wish to deactivate Macquarie Authenticator from and click Deactivate app
  5. We’ll send an actionable push notification to your registered device to verify yourself
  6. Select Approve.

To remove your Macquarie ID in the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

  1. Select Menu then Security
  2. Select Other options then select Connected devices
  3. Find the device you wish to deactivate Macquarie Authenticator from and select Manage
  4. Select Deactivate next to Macquarie Authenticator
  5. We’ll send you an actionable push notification to your registered device
  6. Select Approve.

Macquarie Authenticator isn’t working on your device

If you’re having issues using the Macquarie Authenticator app to authorise transactions or account changes, one of these common fixes may help.

Update the Macquarie Authenticator app

  1. Open the app store on your device and search ‘Macquarie Authenticator’:
  2. Click Update next to the lock icon
  3. Once the update has finished, you can use it as usual.

 

Check notifications are enabled

In your phone security settings, check that you have notifications enabled for the Macquarie Authenticator app.
