Change your contact details

You can change your contact details in Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking App. If you are unable to do this, or, need to change your mobile number,  the best way is to get in touch with us via live chat.

In Macquarie Online Banking:

  1. Select your Name in the top menu bar 
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the contact detail you wish to update
  3. Complete the two-factor authentication 
  4. Enter your new details. Note: If you only want the changes applied to specific accounts be sure to toggle the radio button left to de-select any that you don’t want updated 
  5. Click Confirm. A confirmation window will display 
  6. Click Save to accept the changes.
  7. Click Done to return to your profile. 

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

  1. Select the menu icon in the icon bar from the bottom right corner
  2. Select View and Edit Profile
  3. Select the personal and account details you’re updating
  4. Enter your new details. If you only want the changes applied to specific accounts be sure to toggle the radio button left to de-select any that you don’t want updated
  5. Click Done.

Extra steps may be required

To update your postal address for Macquarie Online Trading account, complete the Change of Registration Address form and return it to support@trading.macquarie.com.

Change your personal name

To update your name (first name or surname) on your accounts, we’ll need:

1. A certified copy of one of the following documents:

  • Your decree nisi
  • Marriage certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • Change of name certificate.

2. A letter signed by you with your old and new signature (or just your old signature if you aren't changing it). 

If you would also like us to update your name with the Land Titles Office, please let us know when providing these documents and we will arrange for a Home Loan Variations Consultant to contact you to discuss. Please note, fees apply for changes made with the Land Titles Office. 

If you'd like to be re-issued a card in your new name, after your request to change your name has been processed you can follow these steps to request a replacement card via Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.

For Business Savings Account, please email your scanned documents to digitalbusiness@macquarie.com.

Change your business name

To update your business name on your accounts, we’ll need a few documents from you. These are listed below, depending on the type of change you’ve made.

In addition, if signatories/directors have changed, we’ll need:

  • For Business Savings Account; Individual/Sole Trader ID form
  • For all other accounts, Third Party Authority form with the new director/s' signatures and signing instructions and,
  • AML identification and supporting documentation.

Scan and email all documentation to the relevant email listed below including:

  • your Macquarie ID (include all Macquarie IDs if you hold more than one)
  • at least one account number
  • a contact phone number, in case we need to contact you for more information.

If your change of corporate entity name relates to your home loan account, call us on 02 8550 5666 (+61 2 8550 5666 from overseas), 9am to 5pm (Sydney time), Monday to Friday.

Change business industry of activity

If you would like to update the industry or activity of your business account, please call us on 1800 620 673.

Change company name (ABN/ACN remaining the same)

To make this change we’ll need one of the following documents:

  • A copy of the change of name issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
  • A copy of minutes of the directors’ meeting signed by at least two of the current signatories (or sole director) at which the company resolved to change the name.

Change from a private to a public company

To make this change we’ll need the following documents:

  • A copy of change of name form lodged with ASIC, being one of the following:
  • Form 205 - Notice of Resolution
  • Form 206 - Change of Type Application
  • A copy of the minutes of the directors’ meeting at which the company resolved to change the status of the company signed by at least two of the current signatories (or sole director).
  • ASIC extract confirming officers of the company.

Change name of trustee on trust account

To change the name of a trust account that is changing from individual to corporate trustees, we’ll need one of the following documents:

  • An amended trust deed showing the relationship between the trust and the new trustee
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) identification for the new corporate trustee
  • A Macquarie third party authority form for any new directors
  • AML identification for any new directors.

To change the name of a trust account that is changing from corporate to individual trustees, we’ll need one of the following documents: 

  • An amended trust deed showing the relationship between the trust and the new trustees
  • A Macquarie third party authority form for any new trustees
  • AML identification for any new trustees.

Provide a different mailing address

You can choose to provide different mailing addresses for one or more of your accounts, but you’ll need to provide us with a single home address to keep on file as your primary address. 
 
You can view and update your home and mailing addresses in Macquarie Online Banking and the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.
