To update your name (first name or surname) on your accounts, we’ll need:
1. A certified copy of one of the following documents:
- Your decree nisi
- Marriage certificate
- Birth certificate
- Change of name certificate
Please refer to our certification requirements.
2. A letter signed by you with your old and new signature (or just your old signature if you aren't changing it).
To update your name on your Home Loan accounts, instead of a letter we'll need:
- A certified and witnessed copy of a statutory declaration. On this form you’ll need to state your name has changed and show both your new and old signatures. If you’re changing your name but not your signature, please state that your signature will remain the same.
If you’d also like us to update your name with the Land Titles Office, please let us know when providing these documents and we’ll arrange for a Home Loan Variations Consultant to contact you to discuss. Please note, fees apply for changes made with the Land Titles Office.
If you'd like to be re-issued a card in your new name, after your request to change your name has been processed you can follow these steps to request a replacement card via Macquarie Online Banking or the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.
