Monthly feature: faster, simpler and more secure support

Over the past year, our digital live chat function through Adviser Online has become increasingly popular among advisers and support staff, particularly because the average wait time to get in touch with us via live chat is three times shorter than over the phone.

Another big advantage of live chat is that we’re able to send you links to the information or forms you need, rather than having to explain where to find them.

Where a consultant can’t resolve your issue in the live chat, they’ll call you promptly. This means you won’t have to call us, wait in a call queue and complete full ID verification.

Following the positive feedback, we’ve made live chat our default method to contact us for account enquiries.

Protecting you, your clients and your business

  • Enhancing security with Macquarie Authenticator
    We protect you and your clients from fraud using leading technology. That's why Macquarie Authenticator is now the only verification method you can use to log into Adviser Online and verify certain account activities.
    As fraud activity continues to rise globally, we recommend your clients use Macquarie Authenticator as well. This will give you and them peace of mind that they have the highest level of security on their accounts. We encourage you to take the time to speak with any clients who haven’t downloaded the app yet.

Streamlining your tools and operations

  • Build customisable reporting templates in Adviser Online – coming soon!
    As part of our journey to uplift our Adviser Online reporting capabilities we'll soon be launching a new Report Builder module in Adviser Online. This new module will provide one central location in Adviser Online to create consolidated packs of multiple reports for a single account. The eight reports currently available in Adviser Online will be available for selection when creating a reporting template. In time, as we migrate more reports from Wrap Online to Adviser Online, all reports will be available in the Report Builder. There will be no change to the reporting capabilities currently available on Wrap Online with the Day 1 release of Report Builder.
  • Quickly view accounts with AFC consent that’s expired in the last 30 days
    We’re updating the Advice Fee Consent (AFC) widget and report in Adviser Online to display the number of accounts where consent has expired within the past 30 days. These changes mean:
    • you'll see the most relevant and urgent accounts that need your attention via the Adviser Online dashboard from the AFC widget
    • you can filter by consent in the AFC Reporting page for accounts that have either expired within the past 30 days or expired more than 30 days ago.

As part of this update, accounts that you don’t want to act on (for example, because the account has changed to direct fee paying, or fees are no longer being charged) won’t be included in the AFC widget after 30 days.

  • Easily identify the adviser service fees we collect from your Macquarie Wrap clients and pay to you
    Changes to our Remuneration and Dealer Remuneration Reports are now live, providing:
    • a clearer breakdown of the adviser service fees charged (effective 1 November 2023)
    • administrate record keeping at scale  
    • deeper insight of adviser service fees where asset-based fees are charged

Where relevant, we recommend contacting your reconciliation software provider to ensure the correct fields are being captured and stored in your reconciliation software such as CommPay.

  • Align your client’s portfolio with their specific investment goals
    We're personalising your experience through data, ensuring what was available to you in Wrap Online is seamlessly migrated into Adviser Online. As part of this, we’re releasing features which improve the way you customise, analyse and leverage data to provide an enhanced experience for your clients.
    This month, we’ve released Asset Allocation Benchmarking into Adviser Online, helping you align your client’s portfolio with their specific investment goals. Features of this release allow you to:
    • compare your client's current portfolio against their desired benchmark leveraging graphs and bar charts
    • have greater year-end conversations with your clients using our uplifted print view
    • enjoy a simplified online experience with proactive messages and intuitive icons that help guide you through the completion of your benchmark
    • leverage our comparison table and historical portfolio views alongside the current benchmark
    • access key information quickly via our updated Help Centre articles.
  • Enhancing your Adviser Online experience
    • Create and access a shortlist of your most important accounts with our new favourite accounts feature. You can add accounts to the favourite list through the star icon on the account list or account overview page.
    • Access greater granularity on security performance via separated Australian and International Fixed Interest and Cash on the Security detail tab, making it easier for you to view this information in your client’s account performance reporting.
    • View key information continuously on our Performance Security Detail and Portfolio page with information presented in the headers now remaining at the top of your page, ensuring you’re presented this information as you continue to scroll down your webpage.
