Buy an eGift card on Macquarie Marketplace

If you have a Macquarie Transaction or Savings account, you can purchase an eGift card in Macquarie Online Banking or in the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.

In Macquarie Online Banking:

1. Select the Marketplace icon from the side menu; or first click on the menu icon in top left-hand corner to display the side menu
2. Choose your eGift card and click Select
3. Review the purchase details. You can change accounts by selecting Change
4. Select Purchase to complete the payment

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

1. Select the  $ icon on the front screen
2. Select the Marketplace. 
3. Choose your eGift card
4. Review the purchase details. You can select which account you’d like to use
5. Select Purchase to review the purchase details
6. Select Confirm to redeem your eGift card.

You’ll receive email confirmation of your eGift card purchase with a copy of your eGift card, which can be used immediately instore and online. 

Please keep this email confirmation so you can still use your eGift card if you decide to close your account or don’t have access to mobile or internet banking. We’re unable to re-send this email confirmation to you.

Some merchants offer the ability to purchase eGift cards for any denomination, provided it falls within a minimum and maximum value determined by that merchant. That means you’ll be able to purchase an eGift card for the exact value that you need, and not have any balance remaining on the card. Here’s how:

1. Select the eGift card you’d like to purchase
2. Select the custom denomination option
3. Enter the eGift card value (you’ll see the merchant’s minimum and maximum eGift card value in this field)
4. Select purchase and confirm.

The total amount you spend on eGift cards can’t exceed $5,000 per day.

In the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:

1. Select the $ icon and then select Marketplace 
2. Click on the toggle My Cards
3. Click on the eGift card you would like to share
4. Click the share button.

Once you have sent your gift card, the recipient will receive a link where they can view and use the eGift card.

You are responsible for the use and safety of your eGift card, so please treat your eGift card like cash. Keep your eGift card confirmation email safe, and remember that if you close or suspend your account, you won’t have access to the eGift card via Macquarie Online or Macquarie Mobile Banking app.

Your eGift card confirmations will be sent to your nominated email address. If you would like to change this, you can do so via Macquarie Online through your profile.
