Consent to access account information

View authority allows a financial services professional or company to have access to information about your account including your account data.

A third party appointed with view authority will be able to view your account details (BSB, account number, and account name), account balance and transaction history.

View authority doesn’t allow the third party to make withdrawals from your account, changes to your account details or close your account.

Appoint additional parties on your cash accounts

You need to complete a Third Party Authority (TPA) form to appoint additional third parties on your cash accounts. There are two versions of the form: 

  • To appoint a Financial Services Professional or Company complete this form.
  • To appoint another individual, complete this form.

View authorities appointed for a Financial Service Company or Professional on your linked Cash Management Account (CMA) will be replicated onto your Macquarie Cash Management Accelerator Account (Accelerator).

In the TPA form, you can also appoint third parties with Accelerator Account Transfer Authority on your Accelerator account. This allows them to transfer funds interchangeably between your CMA and Accelerator account.

Why Macquarie replicates view authorities

We’ve received feedback that clients’ cash deposits aren’t fully visible to their brokers without view authorities on the clients’ Accelerator accounts.

We’re replicating existing view authorities on your Cash Management Account (CMA) so authorised third parties can have access to your Accelerator account information and ensure data feeds in your wealth ecosystem are complete and accurate.

Remove enquiry authority from your Accelerator account

The view authorities on your Macquarie Cash Management Accelerator Account (Accelerator) are synchronised with the linked CMA. You can remove existing view authorities by removing them from the linked CMA.

You can remove other existing authorities from your account using a third party authority form.
