Why was my credit card blocked?

Credit cards may be blocked for a number of reasons, including:

  • We’ve detected suspicious or potentially fraudulent transactions and have blocked your card as a preventative measure
  • Cash withdrawals have been made on your account which:
    • appear suspicious or out of step with normal activity on your account, or
    • exceed your credit limit.

What should I do if my credit card is blocked?

If you find that your credit card is blocked, we’ll be in contact with you. However, if you'd like further information before you hear from us, please contact us via live chat.

For your security, we may not notify you prior to blocking your card. If your card has been blocked by us and you contact us to verify the transactions are as expected, we can easily remove the block on the card for you.
