Why do I need to update the app?

We regularly enhance the security and fraud controls on the Macquarie Mobile Banking app. By installing the latest version of the app you’ll have access to the latest features, functionality and security.

To maintain the security of your app, we may also remove older versions that are not compatible with our security features. Please ensure your device's operating system is either Android 5.0 or iOS 12.0 or above to continue using our app seamlessly. 

How do I update my app?

For security purposes, to use the Macquarie Mobile Banking app, your mobile device should be updated to either Android 5.0 or iOS 12.0, or above. You can check this in your device settings.

To download the latest version of our Macquarie Mobile banking app:

  1. Open the app store on your device and search ‘Macquarie Mobile Banking’
  2. Click Update next to the Macquarie icon
  3. Once the update has finished, you can use the app as usual.
     


You can also enable auto-updates in your device settings, so that when we make future updates, your app will automatically update each time. To enable automatic updates on your device, follow these steps:

On iOS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap App Store
  3. Under Automatic Downloads enable App Updates.

On Android

  1. Go to Google Play Store app 
  2. At the top right, tap the profile icon
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Network Preferences
  5. Tap Auto-update apps
  6. Select Over Wi-Fi only or Over any network and select Ok.

What if I can't update my device?

To continue using our app, please ensure your device is updated to Android 5.0 or iOS 12.0, or above. If you don’t have a compatible device that can meet these requirements, we recommend considering a new device to help ensure that your banking remains safe and secure. 

If you choose not to upgrade to a compatible device, you won’t be able to access your accounts or transact via the Macquarie Mobile Banking app.  Alternatively, you can continue your banking online via Macquarie Online Banking. We recommend using a laptop or desktop for the best banking experience when using Macquarie Online Banking.
