As part of our application process, we’ll share your credit information with credit reporting bodies such as Equifax to get a copy of your credit report. After we’ve done this, your credit report will show that we made a credit enquiry.

Step 2. Understand how we ensure it’s really you

We may need to verify your identity electronically using government databases and information held by our credit reporting bodies, such as Equifax.

We may also collect your location data and information about your device from our service providers for security purposes. You can read our client identity verification FAQs for more information.

Step 3. Get to know how we’ll contact you

By submitting a Macquarie home loan application, you consent to:

  • receive all communications related to your application, your loan and any credit card (if part of your application) electronically. This means that we won’t provide any paper documents, so please make sure you regularly check your email and text messages so you can keep up to date. You can contact us at any time if you want to update your communication preferences.
  • receive emails marketing our products and services to you. If you’d like to opt out of our marketing emails, all you’ll need to do is click unsubscribe on the next marketing email you receive from us.
