Your client can organise to switch between Basic and Offset Home Loans via live chat in their Macquarie Online Banking and Macquarie Mobile Banking app. To support them through this process, visit our Personal Help Centre.
If your client is switching from a Basic Home Loan to an Offset Home Loan, before they start a chat:
- Arrange for your client to open a transaction account in Macquarie Online banking, so we’re able to link the account once the change has been made. Please note this should be created with the same Macquarie ID’s as the borrowers on the home loan.
- Make them aware of the package fee that applies to our Offset Home Loan product. Details of the fee, as well as the package benefits, are available on our Offset Home Loan page.
Please note, to switch from a Basic Home Loan to an Offset Home Loan, all borrowers must be:
- living in Australia and have a current Australian residential address, and
- considered an Australian resident for tax purposes.
