Research and market data packages

Macquarie Online Trading (MOT) offers 5 tiers of market data options:

1. Silver: 20-minute delayed static data
2. Gold: Live data
3. Platinum: Streaming live data
4. ViewPoint: Streaming live data via ViewPoint and Live static data via the Macquarie Online Trading website
5. ViewPoint & Platinum: Streaming live data via ViewPoint and the Macquarie Online Trading website.

As a Macquarie Online Trading adviser, you receive the Gold market data package automatically for free via our website.

1. Log in to trading.macquarie.com.au with your Macquarie ID and password
2. The initial dashboard that will appear will showcase a range of investment articles from Dow Jones Newswires to stay informed on market news and trends.

IRESS Viewpoint is a web-based application powered by the IRESS platform which is a provider of stock market data. 
 
IRESS Viewpoint gives you access to real time live and dynamic pricing updates for:

• ASX Equities
• Interest rate securities
• Warrants.

IRESS Viewpoint also provides comprehensive security data including: 

• Dividends
• Historical corporate action
• Company profiles and
• Charting for technical analysis.

We have integrated IRESS Viewpoint with MOT's platform to facilitate orders on all trading accounts linked to your login. You can also view Portfolio, Open Order and Fund information on your accounts.

If you would like to upgrade to Platinum Market Data package (live streaming) or Viewpoint live streaming and advanced content, you can do this in 2 ways: 
 
1. Via your dealer group 
 
The fee for your data package of Viewpoint will be debited from your licensee’s registered bank account. 

To set this up, we require a letter from your licensee on their letterhead and signed by a responsible officer requesting we set up the data package of Viewpoint. This should be emailed to support@trading.macquarie.com.au.

This will be added to the monthly Licensee Commission Bill. 
 
2. With your own MOT account 
 
You can set up your own MOT account and the fee will be debited from the Macquarie CMA linked to your MOT Account. To update your Market Data package: 

1. Log into trading.macquarie.com.au with your Macquarie ID and password
2. Hover on Administration and click Information Service on the top menu
3. Select the Market Data option you’d like
4. Agree to the Terms and Conditions
5. Enter your 4-digit PIN
6. Click Confirm
7. Any charges associated with your data package will be deducted from your linked CMA.

The Market data page on Adviser Online enables you to view default market data information for the benchmark index (ASX: XJO). This shows the price information (which is delayed by 20 minutes by default) as well as the live chart for the performance of the benchmark index. 
 
You can also enter search criteria based on a security/index code or name and select a security/index from the search dropdown list. You can then view the market data for the selected security or index. Please note, in addition to the above you can also see market depth for a selected security. 
 
You can access the Market data page via Adviser Online. This applies to clients with the following accounts:

• Macquarie Wrap
• Macquarie Vision

To access the Market data page:

1. Log in to Adviser Online
2. Select Tools from the left-hand menu and click the Market data menu option.

Market data on the portfolio valuation page 

You can also find the market data information via the portfolio valuation page:

1. Log in to Adviser Online
2. Search for an account in Account search
3. Click the Portfolio valuation tab for the selected account.

If your client’s account has holdings in Australian listed securities or has an SMA with holdings in an Australian listed securities investment type, you can click on the security code hyperlink under this investment type on the Portfolio valuation page, to navigate to the Market data page for that particular security.
