You can open a new death benefit pension (DBP) using Adviser Online.
- Log in to Adviser Online
- Click on Open an account in Adviser Online and follow the prompts.
- When asked ‘Is this a death benefit pension?’ in the Online Application, click Yes.

You’ll have to provide certain documents to open a new death benefit pension. This is to ensure that it is compliant and created correctly. We will request:
- Tax File Number of the deceased
- Date of death
- Date of birth of deceased
- Name of deceased
- The rollover from an existing death benefit pension
- A death benefit rollover benefit statement for any rollovers received.
