View authority allows a financial services professional or company to have access to information about your client’s account, including their account data.
Your client can appoint a third party on their Cash Management Account (CMA) during the CMA application process or via a Third Party Authority (TPA) form.
A third party appointed with view authority can view your client’s account details (BSB, account number, and account name), account balance and transaction history.
View authority doesn’t allow third parties to authorise payments from the account, changes to the account details or close the account.
