Re-using NextGenID reports

You can re-use your client’s previously completed NextGenID (NGID) report, creating a smooth experience for you and your client.

Also, you can have confidence that the report is still valid, as it’ll only be available to use if:

  • NGID has been completed on a prior application with Macquarie as the lender in the last 12 months,
  • by you, the same broker from the same office,
  • using the same full legal name and mobile phone number, and
  • the ID documents are still valid (Australian passports up to 2 years post expiry).

If any of the above requirements are not met, you won’t have the option to select the previous report on ApplyOnline.

When to use

You can use this feature for:

  • linked applications - submitting multiple applications at the same time,
  • cloning and resubmitting, and
  • future applications for your client.

How to use

Below are instructions on how to link a NextGenID report to another application.

Steps:

  1. Send an initial NGID request to your client
  2. Once the status has been updated to Completed, you’ll be able to start linking the NGID report to other applications
  3. In the subsequent applications, on the Applicant tab go to the Financial Passport
  4. On the NextGenID tile, select Get Started. A pop-up will appear.
  5. Select each applicant and if a previous NGID report is available you’ll have the option to select Use existing NextGenID
  6. Once selected, click Request NextGenID

Acceptable types of applicants

A NextGenID report can be linked regardless of their applicant type or role across multiple applications.

Example: if an applicant has previously completed NextGenID as a director of a company, when they submit a future application as an individual borrower, if all requirements are met, you’ll have an option to link the previous report.

The multi-app feature can be used for all acceptable applicant types, including:

Troubleshooting

Below are some troubleshooting tips:

How can I be comfortable that the documents are still current on the NextGenID report?

If the report is available to be used, you can have comfort that the documents are valid. If the name doesn’t match or any document has since expired, the NGID report won’t be available to link.

When can a report be re-used?

Once the initial NGID report has been attached to the application, you’ll be able to link to subsequent applications. The application doesn’t need to be submitted for the NGID report to be available for linking to other applications.

If my client was a company guarantor on a previous application, is the NextGenID report available when they’re an individual borrower?

Yes. The NGID report will be available to link if the applicant full name and mobile number match.

My client’s NextGenID report was completed using two ID documents, will it still be available to re-use now that only one document is required?

Yes. If all requirements are met (e.g. no changes to name, broker etc.), the report will still be available to link.
