Macquarie Adviser Services today said it had again received an enormous vote of confidence from advisers with first place in the ASSIRT 2005 Service Level Survey Best Fund Manager category for the third consecutive year.
Macquarie was awarded the Best Fund Manager category, based on service performance, and was ranked second in the Best Master Trust/Wrap category.
The Head of Macquarie Adviser Services (Financial Services Group), Neil Roderick, said winning the ASSIRT Best Fund Manager category for the third year meant a great deal to the Macquarie Adviser Services team because it was the advisers themselves who voted in this survey.
"We have invested a great deal of time and resources researching the needs and requirements of advisers and the ASSIRT Service Awards is one of the best indicators of whether we are on the right track in responding to their needs," Mr Roderick said.
"The fact that we have won this category again tells us that our product, cash, technical and systems teams, call centres and Business Development Managers continue to provide excellent service to our clients.
"There is no room for complacency in our business and we also take from these awards clear signs as to where we can further improve our service to advisers going forward across our service offerings."
"It is an indication to us that there is room for improvement and we will spend time reviewing the results to discover the areas we can improve on so we can continue to provide advisers with the best service available in the market."
Mr Roderick said that in the Best Fund Manager category Macquarie had been recognised for its administration support, staff professionalism and competence, call centre efficiency and competence, IT services, quality of transaction and valuation reports, client access to information online and usability of the website.
"This is an indication to us that all aspects of our service offering are working together as we continue to consult with our clients to ensure that we maintain this high standard," he said.
The Master Trust/Wrap category held some good news with Macquarie being ranked first in the categories of managed funds menu, responsiveness, administration support, staff professionalism, reputation in industry and call centre efficiency.
"The industry regards the ASSIRT awards as the ultimate recognition of service provision to advisers, because it is the advisers themselves who decide who wins these awards and the survey methodology is quite rigorous," Mr Roderick said.
"To have this vote of confidence again is something we are very excited about and something we will work hard to maintain.
"During the past 12 months Macquarie Adviser Services has significantly grown its business and to retain such a high ranking from advisers during this period of expansion is a strong indication that the growth has been sustainable.
"In that time the Cash Management Trust has grown 13 per cent to $10.9 billion, our wrap business grew 55 per cent to $14.1 billion and our superannuation business grew to $12.6 billion.
Macquarie also launched a third party managed fund distribution business with the introduction of The Professional Series and we had a significant growth in the distribution of alternative asset products, each further expanding our capability to best service advisers and their clients..
"For such a significant year this vote of confidence from advisers is appreciated by the Macquarie Adviser Services staff who are committed to provide the best possible service to their clients.
